Welcome to our ELD Program website. My name is Mrs. Allison Israwi and I am the English Language Development Teacher Specialist at Williams Elementary School. I have taught 2nd and 3rd grades for the past five years. I look forward to working with you and the continued success of our English Language Learner Program. Who is eligible for the program?

Students enrolled at Williams Elementary School who indicate that their first learned language is a language other than English are given the California English Language Development Test (CELDT). This is a placement exam to determine eligibility for the ELD Program. This placement test must be given every year of the student’s entry into the school district.

The parent advisory committee for the ELD Program is called the ELAC.
